12 - Icon Settings
Edit Mode is only accessible to users with Access Level 1
or 2... this allows you retain control over your icon set and to limit the
icons available for use to your level 3 employees and the clients who login
to their projects.
- Enter/Exit Edit Mode - A
- Push this button to enter/exit Icon Edit Mode. When
leaving edit mode, the Interface will prompt you to save your settings
to the server. If you choose no, it will prompt again before you logout.
- Open Reset and Backup Menu - B
- Push this button to open the Icon
Reset Options window. It has options for resetting the different
options. It also has the ability to save/load the settings to/from a
backup file.
- Add a New Customizable Icon - C
- Push this button to add a new customizable icon to
the system type. It will place the icon bar at the top of the list.
You can then change the label, name, menu viewability and icon shape.
- Enter/Exit Icon Order Arrangement Mode - D
- Push this button to enter/exit icon order mode. You
then click on an icon bar and drag it up/down through the list. Release
it where you wish it to reside in the list. The order is used when creating
reports and in the symbol key.
- Enter/Exit Icon Naming Mode - E
- Push this button to enter/exit icon naming mode. You
then click on and highlight an icon name to edit it. The field is limited
to 24 characters and cannot accept punctuation. The name entered here
will be used in the reports and on the symbol key.
- Icon Menu Header, Info and Edit Mode Button - F
- Push this button to either close the menu, or to exit
icon naming or order modes. It displays the mode you are currently in.
- Customizable Icon - Label Input Field - G
- Type here to enter an icon label for the customizable
icon. The field is limited to 3 digits and cannot accept punctuation.
The text in the icons will resize to suit you 1 to 3 digit combination.
- Customizable Icon - Shape Button - H
- Push this button to change the shape of the customizable
icon. It will scroll through three different shapes: Circle, Square
and Hexagon. Each system type is color coded.
- Customizable Icon - Remove From Menu Button - I
- Push this button to remove (or "delete")
the custom icon from the list. Their data is still stored, and they
can be returned if necessary from the reset window.
- Icon Viewability Option - J
- Push this button to toggle the icons viewability On/Off.
When they are Off, the standard drop menu will not list them.
- Icon Drop Bar & Name Input Field - K
- When Edit Mode is Off, this button will drop the icon
for use in the project... and while in edit mode it is used for editing
the icon's settings. You cannot drop any icons while in Edit Mode.
- Icon Menu Scrollbar - L
- Click and drag this bar up/down to scroll through
the icons in the menu. You can also click above or below the dragger
to jump up/down.
