2 - Using The Interface
- Menus - A
- Push this button to Open/Close the Menu List. The
menu list is based on user access and mode. Use it to access the many
areas of the program, including logging out of a project into the Project
List.
- Trash Can - B
- The trash can can be used to delete icons and page
elements. Drag the element you wish to delete to the trash can and drop.
(any part of the element touching the can will work)
- You can also delete icons by selecting them and pressing
DELETE on your keyboard.
- Rotate Icon - C
- These buttons rotate icons counter-clockwise/clockwise
45 degrees. (1/8th rotation) Some icons have text labels that will stay
vertical when the icon is rotated.
- Delete All Icons - D
- Push this button to delete all icons on the page.
This will also delete icons on layers that are turned off. You must
verify the deletion by clicking "yes" when asked.
- Icon Style - E
- Push this button to toggle between icon styles - Cedia/Homeowner-Friendly.
- Text Tool - F
- Push this button to drop a Text Tool.
- Click or highlight the text to edit. Some punctuation
is restricted.
- When you mouse-over the text or click it to edit,
two buttons will appear:
- Move - The square on the left side of the text
box is your move button. Click it and drag the text area to it's
location, then drop it in place.
- Width - The gray area on the right side of the
text box. Click it and drag to change the width of the textbox.
Height will be determined by the text.
- When you mouse-over the Move button, the format buttons
will appear.
- Alignment - Left, Center & Right buttons will
set the text alignment.
- Size +/- Up & Down buttons will resize the
text.
- The text box will stay vertical when the page is rotated.
The box rotates from the center, so you may need to check it sits outside
the Page. The best way to prevent this is to keep the text box as close
to square as possible. (or move it when you rotate the page)
- Drop Target - G
- Push this button to toggle the Drop Target On/Off.
- When the drop target is on, you can drag it onto the
page to the location you wish your icons to appear. Then drop an icon
as usual (see below).
- The target's location will reset to default whenever
the page is loaded.
- Print Page - H
- Push this button to print the page. The Interface
can only print one page at a time.
- When the print cue opens, you must change your print
settings to match the orientation and paper size you wish to print.
- Refresh Page Image - I
- Push this button to reload the page's image(s) from
the server.
- Refresh All Images - J
- Push this button to reload all of the project's images
from the server.
- Load From File - K
- Push this button to reload the project from the server.
There is no "undo" capability, so if you save often then reloading
can be used as an undo
- Save To File - L
- Push this button to save the project to the server.
This will save to your Master File when you or an employee login, it
will save to the Client File when the client logs in.
- Send Window to Back - M
- Push this button to push the Interface window behind
other windows. There is no "minimize" capability, so it has
to be "pushed". The Interface runs full-screen as much for
data safety as for maximum visibility.
- Logout & Close Interface- N
- Push this button to logout of the project and close
the Interface. It will ask if you would like to save before exiting.
- Pushing ALT+F4 on your keyboard will close the browser
window, but will not logout. This may be useful if it locks up or has
trouble loading from the server, just close the window, and try logging
in again.
- Page Orientation - Portrait/Landscape - O
- Push this button to rotate the page to Landscape or
Portrait orientation. Some elements will stay vertical while the rest
rotate into place.
- Print Aspect Ratio - Standard, Tabloid & Architectural
- P
- Push one of these three buttons to adjust the page
and elements to fit the different WxH ratios for the most popular print
sizes.(check mark indicates the current aspect)
- Future Development - Q
- This bar is for future development..
- Scale All Icons - R
- Click and drag the mouse right/left inside this bar
to increase/decrease the scale of all icons on the page. The scale ranges
from 50% to 150% of the standard size.
- Set Scale to 100% - S
- Push this button to reset the icon scale to 100%.
- Icon Drop Menu - On/Off - T
- Push this button to toggle open the icon drop menu
for the indicated system type. Push it again or select a new type to
close.
- Open Icon Customization Mode- U
- Push this button to open the icon customization mode.

- System Layer - On/Off - V
- Push this button to toggle the system layer On/Off.
When the layer is Off (red X) the icons of that type will be hidden.
There is also a reporting option to include/exclude the Off layers from
the report.
- All System Layers On - W
- Push this button to turn all of the system layers
On.
- Drop Icon Button - X
- When the icon drop menu opens, you can mouse-over
each icon to see a preview.
- Push the button for the icon you wish to drop. You
can drop as many icons as you like, they will stack up in the drop window.
(white circle in the Help Window)
- Hint & Connection Window - Y
- This window will display the connection dialog for
all interaction with the server. When you save the file, It's not truly
saved until this window says it is.
- Current Page - Z
- This window will display the current page's name.
- Load Page - a
- Push the button for the page you wish to load.
- Scroll Page List - b
- Click and drag this bar up/down to scroll through
the pages in the project
